Shaolin Training Center

Shaolin Trainig Center at the Shaolin Temple (China, Henan province, district of DengFeng-city) started working in May 2005. Main objects of the Center are management of persistant trainings for all comers in the frames of traditional techniques of wushu and qigong of the Shaolin Temple, carrying out seminars of Chan Buddhism, meditation, tea ceremony, Chinese language, calligraphy and traditional Chinese medicine.
Besides trainings, Center organizes excursions to the Shaolin Temple and its marvelous outskirts, trips to the nearby cities (Luoyang, Dengfeng, Zhengzhou and Xian) for sightseeing the White Horse Temple BaiMaSi, Longmen Grottoes, Qin Shi Huang's tomb, etc.
The Center owns a guest house which is situated in 500 meters from the Shaolin Temple (Wangzhi gou Xue Kun Inn), for guests' service we have:
- well-furnitured two- and three-bed rooms with a separated restroom, air-conditioning and dual-pane windows;
- halls for carrying out meditations and tea ceremonies;
- video library, library of Kungfu, qigong, Buddhism, Chinese philosophy literature;
- dinning-hall (vegetarian cuisine including) or you can visit a restaraunt by yourself;
- Russian stuff, English and Chinese also speaking


To everyone wishing to practice Wushu martial art or qigong gymnastics we can offer to train under the direction of Shaolin monks, sports school instructors or experienced trainers of the Club Shaolin. The main trainer of the Shaolin Temple, master Shi Yan Lu; the director of The Main Academy of The Shaolin WuShu Chen Jun Jie; qigong master Shi Su Gang (the president of the Su Gang's Shaolin school of Martial arts); the main doctor of the Shaolin Temple, the follower and a personal doctor of De Chan the superior, master Chen Shi Chao; one of the last followers of master De Gen, the bearer of LuoHan-Quan style, master Shi Yun Wen - they agreed to take part in the activity of the Centre on behalf of Chinese party.
Anyone interested in Buddhism will be able to attend services in the Shaolin Temple, to discuss the doctrine with monks and also practice meditation independently in the special hall of the guest house.
The head of Shaolin Training Center is Anatoly Kovgan. He is a 36th generation Shaolin Lay Monk, his monastic name is Shi Heng Wu (Chinese lay name is Gao Wu). He also is the president of the Club of traditional kungfu Shaolin, an expert in martial arts and Chinese culture. Mr. Kovgan works in China since 1991.
